Wall Tile Adhesive

line-4

Tile adhesive is ready-mixed glue used to lay tiles in building structures. It is specially formulated from Portland cement, selected fine aggregates, with some additives to improve its properties for laying tiles.

From decades, we have installed tiles and natural stones using sand, cement and water. As times are evolving, and so does construction techniques, fortunately using adhesives made everything seems easy and fast.

Whether it is a wall tile or floor tile, the tile needs to be stick suitably to the base surface. Tile adhesive is anticipated to hold the tile in place for a long duration without de-bonding problems.

Product available in 20kg bags
Recommenced Water Addition Ratio
One 20kg bag of Rapid set concentrate requires approximately 20% of pure water to provide workable mix.

50 – 60 sqft/20 Kg. Bag at 3 mm thickness

30 – 40 sqft/20 Kg bag at 6 mm thickness

  • Stone Slabs, Vitrified, Ceramic & Porcelain Tiles
  • Thickness – 3.5 – 10mm
  • Place the required amount of Dry-Mix Wall Plaster into a mixer or onto a non-absorbent surface.
  • Add potable water gradually ensuring that it does not wash away any cement and mix thoroughly to ensure an even and consistent mix. Note: Add only enough water to make a workable mix, and do not add excessive water as this will weaken the Dry-Mix Wall Plaster. The recommended amount of water should be added to ensure that the plaster is moist enough to bond to the wall surface, but not so wet that it sags or runs down.
  • Form a mortar bed of approximately 3 to 6 mm thick from end to end using a grooved trowel.
  • Place the tile on the bed of mortar and remove any mortar that may be squeezed out when the tile is placed and smooth the joint. Any gaps that become apparent must be filled with mortar allowing the mortar to dry before finishing with a ‘pointing’ mix applied in line with the manufacturers recommendations.
  • All tools and equipment should be cleaned with water after use.
  • Do not re-temper the mortar if it stiffens. Discard the stiffened product and make a new mortar.

60 – 90 minutes at +27°C

Once the tiles are set Into the mortar, they can be adjusted for – 10 minutes (at +27°C).
